Biography
Joyce, Lung Yuet Ching was born and raised in Hong Kong. She is currently a lecturer of the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, the Education University of Hong Kong. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Visual Arts in 2015 with the AVA award. She received her MFA from the ceramics department at the School of Art Institute of Chicago, the United States in 2019.r She graduated from School of Art Institute of Chicago with a MFA under ceramics department in 2019. She undertakes her bachelor’s degree in Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Visual Arts in 2015 and won the AVA award. She has also been to artist in residence under Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park in Japan, Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen and Red Gate Gallery in Beijing during 2017 and 2016. Her work has been presented by galleries and Art Fairs in Hong Kong, the United States, Australia, Germany, Indonesia and Malaysia.
She felt deep connection with clay by its plasticity and potentiality. She is also interested in utilitarian objects, which she often combines domesticity in her ceramic making.
龍悅程出生於香港，現於香港教育大學文化與創意學系擔任講師。 2019年畢業於芝加哥藝術學院藝術碩士，主修陶瓷；2015年畢業於香港浸會大學視覺藝術學院學士，並獲得視覺藝術學院獎。龍悅程於2017年和2016年分別於景德鎮的樂天陶社和北京紅門畫廊作駐留藝術家。她的作品亦曾於香港、美國、澳洲、德國、印尼及馬來西亞的畫廊及藝博會展出。
龍悅程相信陶瓷有留住時間和回憶的力量。她沈醉於陶瓷的可塑性和質感，亦對具功能性的物品感興趣，故此把兩者結合為她的創作基礎，以反映現實社會。
